Recruitment Consultants

We operate at all levels and you will be involved in liaising with businesses in the Darlington, Teesside and North Yorkshire areas.  You must be self motivated and capable of building and developing relationships with new companies to widen our client base and take the lead in developing the branch.

Typical work activities

A recruitment consultant's role is demanding and diverse and involves:

• using marketing and business knowledge to extend company contacts
• evaluating employers' business needs
• negotiating terms of employment
• canvassing (cold calling) employers
• clarifying and negotiating terms and conditions relating to the job role
• advertising posts appropriately
• headhunting - approaching and interviewing suitable candidates
• reviewing applications, managing interviews, and preparing short-lists
• monitoring candidates when placed, providing a supervisory role
• collecting feedback from employers on the performance and suitability of candidates who have previously been placed with them
• attending recruitment fairs and other exhibitions or business events to expand the client base and develop new business
• advising candidates on training needs, obtaining references, appropriate legal checks and CRB enquiries

Naturally, the ability to undertake these challenging roles does not come easily and we will train you to the highest standards - we expect you to be capable of representing ATP Recruitment Ltd in a professional and confident manner.  As part of your employment with us, you will be expected to qualify for membership of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (by examination) and we will give every assistance to ensure you obtain the industry standard qualifications.
